Mauro Colagreco, who is originally from Argentina, arrived in France in the year 2000 and nowadays he has become the best Chef in France.

Although, things were not easy for Colagreco at the beginning. He arrived in Paris after he finished his cuisine studies in Buenos Aires, with just one phone contact. He gradually entered the kitchens of the most select French restaurants, learning from recognized chefs such as Bernard Loiseau in Saulieu; and Alain Passard, Alain Ducasse and Guy Martin in Paris.

In 2006, Colagreco opens his restaurant Mirazur in Menton. After six months in charge of the kitchen, he is considered by the Gault&Millau Guide as the “Revelation of the Year”, and only one year later he received the first Michelin star.

In 2012 he was named “Knight of Arts and Letters” by the French Government, a title that was followed by the nomination as Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux in 2013. In 2017, Mirazur became a member of the Great Tables of the World and Colagreco was appointed “Knight of the French National Order of Merit”.

Mirazur stands out for one thing in the gastronomic world: it doesn’t have a menu. The dishes designed by Colagreco vary according to the vegetables that come from the orchard they harvest and the fish they bring each day.

The care of the products, the vanguardist character and creativity of Colagreco, the attention to detail with each client and the effort and sacrifice of an entire team, constitute the perfect conjunction that has led Mirazur to be awarded, by the 50 Best Restaurants, as the Best Restaurant in the World in 2019, being the first Latin American chef to reach number 1.

Mauro Colagreco is also in charge of other restaurants such as the emblematic Grand Coeur in Paris, the branches of Carne Argentina, the Grill 58 in Macao, and Florie’s, in Palm Beach, USA.
