Andoni Luis Aduriz was born in 1971, and is without doubt one of the most important and influential chefs on the scene today, with his multidisciplinary cuisine in constant evolution.
After finishing his culinary studies, he settled in Catalonia, entering El Bulli to work with one of the greatest geniuses of modern cuisine, Ferran Adrià.
With the experience that he gathered, Andoni Luis Aduriz opened the Mugaritz restaurant in 1998, a project which he launched on his own and which, since 2006 has held two Michelin Stars, making Mugaritz a beacon in culinary research and development. Mugaritz closes for four months of the year to concentrate entirely on research and greater creativity.
As part of the socialisation of his own ideas about cuisine, Andoni Luis Aduriz has attended training courses at centres such as the Deusto University, the University of the Basque Country and international institutions such as the Alain Ducasse Training Centre in France and the Culinary Institute of America in the USA
Andoni Luis Aduriz is a member of the Board of the Foundation of the Basque Culinary Centre.
